April
In April, we spent some time tending plants indoors and working in the yard. Elliott has said the words "Do you know what?" more times than any of us can count, and he's fond of raising my shirt to give my belly a kiss, including in the parking lot at school. He's actually quite kissy and affectionate in general these days, and he says "I love you, Mommy" and that he loves his baby sister as though words can't express the depth of his emotion. We'll see how he feels come August!
As we moved into May, we both got colds (not helped by the dry weather with lots of pollen, and, this weekend again, by really high temperatures).
Fun adventures in April included Elliott's first overnight away from his parents while he had a blast with cousins and aunt & uncle (and toys galore, and gardening!) in NJ (and E's parents' first night away from him, in NYC). After that, the three of us drove to the ocean for a warm Easter Sunday morning playing in the cold waves. Elliott and I also spent a nice day on the Mall at the end of his spring break. (something you think we'd do all the time but don't).
Grandma B also came to visit, and we started painting the eating space and family room in the back. We also bought a new car - a Mazda 5 - and just yesterday (May 1) sold my 2001 Protege to John's brother (and snapped this photos of my growing belly).
