Visiting Indianapolis

Elliott had a great time visiting his cousins and aunt and uncle in Indy. He was happy pretty much the whole time, including the flights. It was a lovely fall weekend. He enjoyed taking a stroller walk to pick up Zach from school, walking a baby stroller down the leaf-filled sidewalk's of Aunt Beck's neighborhood, swinging on the porch swing with Amelie, playing trains with Zach, drawing on Jerome's paper, playing animals with Uncle Patrick and listening to him play guitar, visiting the Children's Musuem, and watching the cousins play soccer and wandering all over the field on a perfect fall day.
Elliott also liked Waffle House, Jerome's pick for dinner Friday night; I had packed other food for Elliott but he picked up one of my eggs off my plate and pretty much stuffed the whole thing in his mouth. On Saturday night he demanded "eat?!" when I was trying to put him down to bed, and he proceeded to wolf down everything I offered him, including a not-insignificant amount of turkey. All the cousins were in bed by this time (10:00 p.m.!) but Elliott loved being in the new space, eating, and playing with refrigerator letters with Aunt Beck. I think he's been on something of a growth spurt (when I heft him now he feels a lot more like a boy than a baby to me). It was a great time with family.
